Abbott Expands ZonePerfect Nutrition Bar Line to Meet Demand for Dark Chocolate by Active, On-the-Go Consumers

COLUMBUS, Ohio, June 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- (NYSE: ABT) - Fueled by demand for nutritious, yet delicious snacks, Abbott today announced the introduction of three new flavors of ZonePerfect(R) Dark Chocolate Nutrition Bars - Dark Chocolate Caramel Pecan, Dark Chocolate Mocha and Dark Chocolate Cookies N' Creme.

Made with real cacao, ZonePerfect Dark Chocolate Nutrition Bars provide balanced nutrition for busy people who refuse to sacrifice great taste. ZonePerfect Dark Chocolate Nutrition Bars provide an excellent source of protein (12 grams per serving), antioxidants (Vitamins C & E, and Selenium), and a good source of 19 essential vitamins and minerals. They contain 180-190 calories per serving.

These bars will appear in new packaging, which features clean lines and ingredient graphics to match the bars' taste sensations inside. The new packaging will be rolled out to all ZonePerfect Nutrition Bar flavors over the coming months.
