The Sacramento Santa Run benefits the California Chapter of the Pulmonary Hypertension Association. The event also raises awareness of the importance of finding a cure for pulmonary hypertension and providing services for pulmonary hypertension patients. Pulmonary hypertension (PH) is a rare and debilitating lung disease in which high blood pressure in the arteries of the lungs affects the functioning of the heart and can lead to right heart failure. Local patients will highlight the importance of finding a cure and raising funds for research and patient programs and services.
