The Vitamin Shoppe Names James Sander Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary

NORTH BERGEN, N.J., Nov. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- The Vitamin Shoppe announced that James Sander has joined the company as Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. Mr. Sander is reporting directly to CEO Tom Tolworthy. In this capacity, Mr. Sander will be responsible for Legal Affairs, the Corporate Secretary function, and Lease Administration.

"Jim has a tremendous talent in the legal field and also has a strong background in the dietary supplement industry; we are excited to have him on board at The Vitamin Shoppe."

Prior to joining The Vitamin Shoppe, Mr. Sander was Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary at Sharper Image Corporation. Before Sharper Image, Mr. Sander was in private practice with Holsworth Sander and Associates in Pittsburgh, PA. Mr. Sander was counsel for 17 years at GNC, General Nutrition Centers, most recently as the Senior Vice President - Law, Chief Legal Officer & Secretary.

Mr. Sander has his Juris Doctor Degree from the Duquesne University School of Law and a BA from Grove City College.
