'The Two Martini Diet': How Author Lost 100+ lbs While Eating Well and Having a Drink

LITTLETON, N.H., Jan. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Jerry Sorlucco, author of "A Good Stick" and "Facing Fascism," has written of his recent battle of the bulge. "The Two Martini Diet" (published by AuthorHouse) tells readers after facing a world of pain, he made the decision to lose weight.

Jerry had been an airline pilot before retirement and was accustomed to exercising in order to pass his biannual physicals given by the FAA. That was not the problem, after retirement he discovered his intake of calories were far outweighing his exercise program. Something had to change.

In 2006, Jerry was 69 years old and had attained his highest weight ever of 270 pounds. He had just had arthroscopic surgery and if he kept his current stature he faced a life of knee replacements. He frequently suffered from sciatica due to the excess weight and other problems he did not want to have. If he wanted to keep doing the things he loved he had to change his habits.

He knew there were plenty of "diets" on the market, so he worked on one he knew would work. Simply stated -- burn more calories than you take in; over the next two years he ate as he would normally, except less of it and he increased the intensity of his daily exercise routine.

"The Two Martini Diet" is not the new "fad" diet, in fact it is not a diet at all; simply put, it is an explanation of a "new manner of living."
