Continuing Education Solutions for Medical Error and Risk Reduction

OAKBROOK TERRACE, Ill., April 14 /PRNewswire/ -- The Sullivan Group (TSG), a leading provider of risk management and patient safety solutions for medical professionals, today announced the start of a program with the United States Armed Services whereby deployed Armed Services physicians will be given access to a customized web-based "risk and safety" curriculum offered by TSG. This curriculum will be provided at no cost to either the physicians or the branch of service.

"We are proud to make this offer to the troops serving our country," said Dr. Daniel Sullivan, founder and chief executive officer of TSG. "We want to show that we appreciate their service and hope that by example we may encourage other businesses to follow suit. Our thanks go out to GSACEP and the three Consultants to the Surgeons General for making this possible."

To date, over 250,000 TSG Medical Error and Risk Reduction courses have all been taken by practitioners throughout the nation. Delivered via the web, these courses, which focus on high-risk patient conditions, provide particularly convenient access to physicians deployed overseas who may have limited options for continuing education. Courses are based on "real life" cases, provide CME, and can be taken in short sections at the physician's convenience.

About The Sullivan Group - The Sullivan Group's patient safety and risk management system combines web-based risk and safety education programs, intelligent medical records for physicians and nurses, and a web-based clinical audit tool to help medical professionals decrease errors and improve patient outcomes.
