Mobility Provider has Best Practices in Vehicle Management
NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas, Sept. 9 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The SCOOTER Store was once again selected for its best practices in vehicle management by Runzheimer International. Headquartered in Wisconsin, Runzheimer International provides a comprehensive range of employee mobility services relating to business vehicles, relocation, travel management, corporate aircraft and virtual office programs.
This is the third consecutive year that The SCOOTER Store's high quality practices have been acknowledged. The award recognizes companies in integration of programs, processes and approaches between each professional discipline of employee mobility. Each year approximately 100 organizations participate in the benchmarking process with almost 60% of the participants being multi-billion dollar organizations.
"The award recognizes the work that the Distribution, Finance, Risk & Safety, Healthcare Relations, and HR/Corporate Operations departments put into our vehicle management program," said Director of Corporate Operations Chet Lange. "We are honored that Runzheimer selected our program for its efficiency and efficacy."
The SCOOTER Store received its award during the Runzheimer Mobile Workforce Management Forum in Milwaukee, Wis., on Sept. 8, 2008. At the forum, representatives also participated in a panel discussion to share their unique practices.
"The SCOOTER Store should be incredibly proud of the accomplishments of its vehicle program," said Greg Harper, President, Runzheimer International. "Two years ago, when we first recognized The SCOOTER Store, we viewed them as a leader in this area. Most importantly, the team at The SCOOTER Store has continued to enhance the company's overall business vehicle program. They truly see the value in external benchmarking as a way to ensure they continue to be a top performing organization. It is wonderful to see The SCOOTER Store lead the way for a third straight year and we are very happy for them."
Runzheimer studies indicate that at least 50% of the American workforce is mobile in some way. In the annual employee mobility benchmarking process, Runzheimer recognizes organizations' best practices in all key areas of employee mobility management, including business travel, business vehicles, corporate aircraft, virtual office, relocation and international assignments. To be acknowledged, organizations must be a participant in the benchmarking process and must demonstrate that their program consistently enhances talent management capabilities, achieves favorable outcomes relating to cost management/productivity, enables greater organizational agility and strengthens employee satisfaction/well being.
