(PRWEB) May 6, 2010 -- The SASH Program (Sell A Senior's Home) recently hosted their 5th annual Spring Luncheon for the Elder Care Community at Wesley Homes Des Moines, WA. The SASH Spring Luncheon was a benefit event for the Senior Services Meals on Wheels program, and an opportunity to strengthen the network of the senior care community in the greater Puget Sound, WA, area.
“The Spring Luncheon for Elder Care Providers is The SASH Program's biggest annual event, and it follows SASH's commitment to providing opportunities for connection and teamwork among senior care providers," stated Rebecca Bomann, founder of The SASH Program. “Our annual Spring Luncheon is a favorite in the local community because of the beautiful setting at Wesley Homes, the fabulous food that is prepared by Chef Chalfant, and the incredible opportunity to connect with outstanding elder care providers from all over the area. The SASH Program was founded in 2005 by Rebecca Bomann, a real estate professional with a background in social work, after helping her own Grandfather to sell his home. Ms. Bomann thought there should be a less stressful and more dignified way for seniors to sell their homes, and so she started SASH. The SASH Program provides seniors with a private and custom-designed home sale service, allowing them to bypass the stress and unknowns of a conventional market sale. Each senior client of SASH is treated with integrity, respect, and dignity as evidenced by testimonials from former clients and their families.
Attended by over 120 elder care providers, The SASH Spring Luncheon raised over $1100 for the Senior Services Meals on Wheels Program, a service that delivers thousands of meals each week to home- bound seniors throughout the greater King County, WA area. “It was inspiring to hear from people in the elder care community, and to see the sincerity, compassion, and desire to ensure that seniors are taken care of," said Dale Hoover of the Senior Services Meals on Wheels Program. “I want to again state how much our program appreciated being invited, and chosen as the recipient of the raffle proceeds. SASH does so much for us, words cannot compliment them enough. The opportunity to share the story of our caring and commitment to seniors is beyond any commercial ability to promote what we do. The networking proved most beneficial, and a number of people offered to volunteer their time for our program.”
In each of the past five years, SASH has hosted annual luncheons benefiting a senior services non-profit program. The focus of each event is to provide an extended opportunity for elder care providers to connect, share resources and ideas, and to refresh with a good laugh or heartfelt story. “It was a truly wonderful luncheon," said Jane Conrad, Senior Real Estate Specialist for John L. Scott. “As always, I met great people and learned so much about senior resources.”
