The Peer Group Launches Xpert Xchange(SM), an Innovation in Medical Peer Influence Programs
Date:7/7/2008

EDISON, N.J., July 7 /PRNewswire/ -- The Peer Group, a leading provider of peer-to-peer medical forums for the bio-pharmaceutical industry, and an Informed Medical Communications (IMC) company, today announced the launch of Xpert Xchange(SM). Xpert Xchange is the newest innovation in moderated peer influence events whereby two Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) discuss case studies while utilizing clinical data, product attributes, and prescribing experience in a debate-style format. The true value of the program, though, is the unique inclusion of a Peer Group moderator with expertise in communications and the specific therapeutic area to engage all healthcare provider attendees in active dialogue related to the KOL exchange. This format is consistent with The Peer Group's focus on continually improving and optimizing physician peer influence for their bio-pharmaceutical clients through moderated peer discussion at dinner meetings and other peer influence events.

"Xpert Xchange provides a novel way to highlight KOLs at peer events, by engaging all physicians in active dialogue between each other and simultaneously with the two KOLs," noted Kathleen Bresette, President of The Peer Group. "Recognizing that compelling peer discussion can significantly improve ROI compared to traditional didactic KOL presentations, this innovation is a breakthrough in leveraging the true value of KOL expertise and peer dialogue among professional equals."

The Peer Group recently entered into a relationship with a top-10 pharmaceutical client to deliver a series of Xpert Xchange programs along with a full suite of peer influence events.
