The PA Breast Cancer Coalition Participates in 2008 Patient Advocacy Leaders Summit (PALS): PALs (Patient Advocacy Leaders) for a Healthier America!

lth advocate, "PALS is an amazing concept because it brings together a diverse group of leaders under a common cause of improving the delivery of healthcare in this country through policy development and collaboration."

Since 2002, close to 5,000 leaders representing over 2,000 organizations in 49 countries have participated in over 60 GSK-hosted PALS events around the world. An international meeting of 400 advocates from 26 countries and 38 States was held in the US in 2004. Meetings have also been held in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Europe, Japan and The Netherlands.

A number of Regional PALS events and ePALS virtual events are being planned for 2008. To learn more about PALS, visit the PALS Community website at http://www.palscommunity.com/.
