The New eBook 'A Subtle Addiction - Attacking the Y Generation ', Author Peter McIntosh Addresses Children's Obsession with Cell Phones
Date:2/12/2013

Los Angeles, California, February 5, 2013 (PRWEB) February 12, 2013

The authors were first alerted to the dramatic consequences of extended cell phone use and the health dangers from this micro wave radiation on an Australian TV Chanel 9, 60 minutes program aired in 2011.

This Chanel 9 segment can still be viewed in their eBook, 'A Subtle Addiction - Attacking the Y Generation' or viewed on http://www.protonpatch.com/solution.html - watch "Mobile Phones Cause Cancer" - Part 1/2.

It sparked their interest and after discovering their granddaughter leaving her mobile phone turned on and under her pillow at night – just in case one of her friends should text her, they realized something else needed to be done to bring this obsession into greater public awareness.

Peter & Lynn had seen how a little girl about the same age on the TV program had died from a brain tumor, and that the featured highly qualified Neurosurgeon Dr Charles Teo suggested in no uncertain terms the likely cause was the over use of a cell phone.
Following a considerable amount of research three key issues emerged. First there was an overwhelming body of evidence from eminent sources around the globe disputing the industry statements that cell phones were safe. Secondly, there was a parallel case with the tobacco industry case of the last century and finally many reports were surfacing about the carcinogenic capabilities of cell phones. The announcement by the World Health Organization in 2011 that cell phones were now classified as a possible carcinogen causing two types of brain tumors was seen by many as a breakthrough with the media attention it caused.

Several chapters in the book present this information with supported evidence that will have readers asking the question, why hasn't more been done to warn the public?

Eminent sources such as Dr. George Carlo and Dr. Magda Havas explain in complete detail in the book's embedded videos the potential for drastic health results if children in particular keep using cell phones for in excess of 1 hour a day!

Peter’s concept with this book is to reach the masses with an easy to read publication and to also include many informative and factual videos, photos and qualifying material. The book had to have the entertainment factor to encourage young people to view it. This has now been achieved with many excellent testimonials evident on the web site.

The author's target audience was the Y Generation – 8 to 28 years old. These are the highest on-line users of smart phones, game controllers, tablets and laptops according to Dr. Magda Havas of Peterborough University. She outlines in several features in the book how children and young people need to realize they have been exposed to major health risks with their obsessive use of these devices. She details how Brain Tumors, Eye, Saliva and Testicular Cancer cases have reached all-time highs since the introduction of cell phones, all with very little action by any USA or Australian authority to warn their populations of the growing dangers. Different chapters of the book specifically explain these issues and offer supporting attribution to justify these claims.

For those interested in the book, they have offered a free preview of 8 pages including 2 videos, by going online to http://www.beatemr.com
