Non-Profit Providing Support to Family & Friends of those with Mental Health Problems Looks to Interactive Agency for Website Support

St. Louis, MO (PRWEB) January 29, 2010 -- The Net Impact, a St. Louis-based Internet marketing and web design firm, proudly announces their partnership with the Karla Smith Foundation (KSF), an organization focused on working to provide support to family and friends of someone with mental health problems or who lost a loved one to suicide. The Net Impact will be hosting and maintaining the non-profit’s website, www.karlasmithfoundation.org, in addition to providing search engine optimization services.

The Karla Smith Foundation’s work is an invaluable contribution to the effort to make the stigma surrounding mental illness a thing of the past. The foundation’s website is an excellent resource to direct families and friends of those facing mental illness issues to the information and support they need to cope with the effects of this widespread medical condition,” said Mandy Christanell, Project Manager, The Net Impact.

Karla Smith died of suicide on Jan. 13, 2003, at the age of 26, after a 7 year struggle with bipolar disorder. Out of this personal tragedy, her grieving family (Father, Tom; Mother, Fran; and twin brother, Kevin) created this inspiring organization two years after Karla’s death in 2005, with the intention to focus on the needs of the family and friends of those with mental health problems, as well as those who hav
