Date:4/20/2009

Sign up with LLS's Team in Training

WASHINGTON, April 20 /PRNewswire/ -- The Nation's Triathlon(TM) to Benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is sold out, but you can still participate by joining LLS's Team In Training(R) program.

The Nation's Tri, the only triathlon dedicated to fighting blood cancer, is a world-class Olympic distance triathlon taking place in Washington D.C. on September 13.

By signing up with TNT, the world's first, biggest and best sports training program, participants will get four to five months of expert, certified coaching to help them meet their personal goals, and clinics on nutrition, injury prevention, gear and other essentials to prepare for the race. TNT also provides its participants a great team experience, travel and lodging arrangements and a fun-filled weekend of activities in the nation's capital. In return, participants have the satisfaction of knowing they are raising money to find cures for leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma, and support services to help improve patients' lives.

Set against the magnificent and patriotic setting of the nation's capital and its monuments, the Nation's Triathlon course includes a 1.5K swim in the Potomac River, a 40K bike ride through scenic vistas, and a 10k run through downtown D.C.

"The Nation's Triathlon is one of the premiere triathlons in the country and Team In Training helps participants take on an athletic challenge they might never imagine accomplishing on their own while giving them the opportunity to help other people," said Nancy L. Klein, LLS chief marketing and revenue officer.
