The National Health Service and Attainia Move to Modernize Medical Capital Equipment Budgeting and Planning for the United Kingdom

DERBYSHIRE, England and MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Dec. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Attainia and The National Health Service Supply Chain today announced they will deploy Attainia's suite of web-based budgeting and planning applications to Hospital trusts within the United Kingdom.

"NHSSC has moved quickly to develop leading supply chain solutions for the Hospital trusts in the United Kingdom," according to Jeff Kleck, CEO of Attainia. As part of their mission, the NHSSC is adopting the tools necessary to facilitate proper planning and ensure that capital equipment is brought in on-time and on-budget."

NHSSC is run by DHL as a contracted out supply chain management service to the NHS in England. The contract started in 2006 and has eight more years to run. The aim of the contract is to save the NHS over 1 billion pounds Sterling over the life of the contract.
