and high quality care to our patients."

"AMICAS will help us to 'close the loop' on several important workflow challenges," said Ted Lombardo, director of radiology at The Hospital of Central Connecticut. "In addition, AMICAS Reach will allow us to provide proactive delivery of radiology reports and images to physicians who do not have access to our hospital network - and this will allow us to offer our services to physicians outside our typical service area."

Under the terms of the agreement, the hospital will utilize new, Web-based technology for integrated reading, productivity, and critical results management initiatives. Included in the agreement are AMICAS PACS(TM), AMICAS Reach(TM), and AMICAS RadStream(TM) solutions.

AMICAS PACS drives significant improvements in radiologist productivity while enabling improvements in the quality of care. AMICAS Reach allows radiology practices and departments to provide unparalleled service to referring physicians via the proactive communication of reports and key images as well as follow-up order entry. AMICAS RadStream reduces medical-legal risk by automating and documenting critical results communications.

"We are excited about our new partnership with The Hospital of Central Connecticut, one of the most respected healthcare providers in Connecticut," said Stephen Kahane MD, president, chief executive officer, and chairman of AMICAS. "We are confident that AMICAS' unique approach to solving imaging's most challenging workflow problems is the key reason that many of the most prestigious hospitals, imaging centers, and other healthcare facilities choose to partner with us."
