Dr. Peter Osborne is the founder of The Gluten Free Society. As June approaches, Dr. Osborne is launching the Society’s Hormone Awareness Campaign. The Campaign, which starts June 1st as a tribute to Men’s Health month, wants to provide specific symptom information to people of all ages and backgrounds as a way to discuss the Gluten / Hormone relationship. http://www.glutenfreesociety.org/
“Gluten sensitivity and intolerance has a complex relationship with hormones. Men think of hormones and immediately associate women, but men aren’t immune from the hormone / gluten realm of problematic relationships,” said Dr. Osborne. “Gluten is a Hormone Disruptor There are many diseases linked to gluten sensitivity. From arthritis to mental disorders to nutritional anemia, gluten can cause and contribute to an array of health problems. I encourage anyone diagnosed with arthritis or a mental disorder to reconsider their hormones and diet. If a diagnosis doesn’t feel right then it is worth seeking a second opinion.”
The Gluten Free Society is providing an array of complementary resources as part of the Hormone Awareness Campaign. “We have a collection of video, audio and written tutorials for people and for medical professionals. Again, the goal is to get information out to the public about gluten sensitivity and the complex relationship it has with a person’s hormones.” The Society also provides email announcements about gluten-free living and gluten intolerance news.
Members of the media are invited to speak with Dr. Peter Osborne upon press request. http://www.glutenfreesociety.org/
