GLENDALE, Colo., April 29 /PRNewswire/ -- The Glendale Raptors Try Rugby League (TRL) announced today the sign-up, practice and match schedules for its Youth Rugby League as well as the sign-up and attendance dates for the three day Glendale Raptor/USA Rugby Youth Academy (RYA).

The Youth TRL will run from May 6th - June 28th, 2008. Practices for all divisions, ages 5-15, boys, girls and coed, will be held every Tuesday and Thursday from 5:00-6:30 pm at Mir Park in Glendale. Matches will be held on Saturday mornings, beginning May 24th - June 18th, culminating in an end of the season tournament on June 28th. You may also register on May 6th at Mir Park. The registration fee is $100 and includes: all club fees; USA Rugby Membership; equipment; jersey; shorts; socks; mouthpiece; water bottle; and, a rugby ball.

July 30th - August 1st, 2008, are the dates that have been set for the Glendale Raptor/USA Rugby Youth Academy. The RYA is a national outreach to children and young adults under the age of 19, and their parents, in the United States and Canada, to attend the three day academy designed with professional rugby instruction. Academy attendees will have the opportunity to acquire a full range of skills needed to develop a complete understanding of rugby. Instruction will include: individual and unit skills; proper running techniques; passing; kicking; tackling; and, conditioning, with the use of both contact and non-contact drills in combination with other important facets of the game of rugby.
