Additionally, on the evening of the Angel Ball, Denise Rich along with close friend and supporter Natalie Cole will be on-hand to illuminate the Empire State Building in purple and red, the official colors of The G&P Foundation.

The G&P Foundation for Cancer Research was created in 1996 by Denise Rich and her daughters in memory of Gabrielle Rich Aouad, who died at age 27 from acute myelogenous leukemia (AML). The mission of The G&P Foundation is to fund basic and clinical medical research in both conventional and integrative disciplines which focus on prevention, treatment and quality of life issues of leukemia, lymphoma and related cancers. Since 1998, The G&P Foundation has awarded over $6.4 million to thirty-one junior investigators making G&P one of the largest non-governmental sources of grant support to blood cancer researchers at the nation's leading institutions.
