NEW YORK, Oct. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- The G&P Foundation for Cancer Research will honor four outstanding individuals at the 2007 Angel Ball, Editor-In-Chief of Harper's BAZAAR Glenda Bailey, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of BET Networks Debra L. Lee, Chief Hematologic Oncology, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center Dr. Stephen D. Nimer, and the late President of the United Arab Emirates, H.H. Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
The black-tie benefit, hosted by Grammy-winning song writer Denise Rich and her daughters Daniella Rich Kilstock and Ilona Rich Schachter will take place at The New York Marriott Marquis on October 29th and will feature a cocktail reception by Moet Hennessy and dinner with special menu designed by Sirio Maccioni of Le Cirque, along with a star-studded lineup of performances including John Legend, Joss Stone, Patti LaBelle, Chaka Khan and Epiphany. Also taking the stage, serving as presenters and segment hosts will be Petra Nemcova, Randy Jackson, Kelly Ripa, Mark Consuelos, LL Cool J, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, The Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson, Star Jones, and Liz Smith.

The G&P Foundation for Cancer Research was created in 1996 by Denise Rich and her daughters in memory of Gabrielle Rich Aouad, who died at age 27 from acute myelogenous leukemia (AML). The mission of The G&P Foundation is to fund basic and clinical medical research in both conventional and integrative disciplines which focus on prevention, treatment and quality of life issues of leukemia, lymphoma and related cancers.
