After weighing the evidence and listening to Haynes’ legal arguments, the jury returned a verdict of $1.026 million. According to court documents, the verdict is designed to cover past and future medical expenses, pain and suffering, loss of companionship, physical impairment, inconvenience, and disfigurement.
