The Chopra Center Introduces Mind-body Health Programs for Spanish Speakers: Chopra en Espanol Connects Spanish Speakers Worldwide to Deepak Chopra and David Simon's Global Message of Wellness

CARLSBAD, Calif., Feb. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- The Chopra Center for Wellbeing today announced its Chopra en Espanol division catering to the growing number of Spanish speakers seeking out the Center's programs and teachings in mind-body wellness, stress management, emotional healing, and human empowerment.

"In the 15 years or so since Deepak Chopra and I first had the idea to create a wellness center where people could come to heal their physical and emotional pain, mind-body medicine and the Eastern healing traditions have become widely accepted and popular - not only in the U.S. but also in many other parts of the Western world, including Mexico, South America, and Central America," said Dr. Simon.

"We have launched Chopra en Espanol so that Spanish speakers will have greater access to the Chopra Center's timeless teachings for natural health and balance."

With the development of Chopra en Espanol, the Chopra Center now offers simultaneous Spanish translation at the Center's top three signature programs: the Journey into Healing mind-body workshop, the Seduction of Spirit meditation retreat, and the SynchroDestiny empowerment program. The Chopra Center is currently creating a Spanish-language version of its popular newsletter and website chopra.com. In addition, the Center will soon offer its teacher training courses in Spanish, enabling those who want to become certified instructors of meditation, yoga, and Ayurveda to learn in their native language.

Chopra en Espanol's new director is Juan Carlos Briseno Merino, a project management expert who previously headed up the project management team for DHL in Mexico City.
