Ann McGuinn, immediate past Chair and current member of the Board of Directors of The Children's Institute, together with her husband, Marty, retired Chairman and CEO of Mellon Financial Corporation, are co-chairing the Campaign.
The Campaign for an Amazing Future kicked off with a celebration at Heinz Field on October 14th, and activities for the entire community continue throughout the month, including:
* Project STAR's Annual Fall Harvest Day and Hayride at Hartwood Acres on
October 20th from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
* Foundation Breakfast at The Children's Institute on October 25th from 8
- 9:30 a.m.
* Education Forum: A panel discussion, Healthcare Reform and Regulations
and their Effect on the Future of Pediatric Healthcare at The Children's
Institute on October 26th at 9 a.m.
* Community Open House at The Children' Institute on October 27th from
Additionally, Dozen cupcakes, located in Squirrel Hill, is creating a special cupcake to honor The Children's Institute and its Amazing Future. A portion of the proceeds from each amazing cupcake sold from October 14th - 21st will benefit The Children's Institute.
