Online Casting Calls Help Pull Greater Weight in National Search for Contestants

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) July 19, 2009 -- Talent6, the leading online casting community for actors, extras and reality television, is currently working with the casting directors of NBC's perennial ratings leader and critics' favorite, "The Biggest Loser," it was announced today.

Assisting the casting directors with an extensive search for family teams of two (couples, siblings, parent and child, etc.**) to compete on the show, Talent6 has been blanketing their vast online member community with announcements for open casting call sites in fifteen cities across America. This season, Talent6 has become instrumental in helping the production team find "real people" who may have struggled their entire lives with obesity or are facing health challenges that can arise from carrying excess weight.

"The Biggest Loser" has proved to approach the subject of obesity - a serious challenge for many Americans and a culprit in the nation's diabetes epidemic - with sensitivity, pathos and real-life drama, while showing the immensely rewarding, life-transforming experiences that come from changing one's way of looking at themselves, the world, and the way they choose to live in it. Through intensive workouts, dietary guidance and competitive challenges, with a combination of tough love and practical counsel from the country's top personal trainers and doctors, contestants on the "The Biggest Loser," continue to lose hundreds of pounds each season while competing for the chance to win the grand prize of $250,000.00.

"Talent6 has served to be a great tool in our search for real people across America with the charisma, drive and competitive edge to take a huge step toward making a dramatic change in their bodies, health and lives while on television,&quo
