The purpose of this award is to recognize excellence in scholarship in academic gerontology in AGHE's official journal, Gerontology & Geriatrics Education.

Book Award for Best Children's Literature on Aging
Presented to author Gayle Byrne and illustrator Mary Haverfield for "Sometimes It's Grandmas and Grandpas Not Mommies and Daddies"
This award recognizes portrayals of meaningful aging in children's literature.

Administrative Leadership Award
Presented to Nadine A. Coudret, MSN, EdD, University of Southern Indiana
This award honors administrators on AGHE member campuses who have made exceptional efforts in support of gerontology or geriatrics education.

Graduate Student Paper Award
Presented to Melinda Heinz, PhD, Iowa State University
This award acknowledges excellence in scholarly work conducted by an AGHE Annual Meeting student attendee.

Part-Time Faculty Recognition
Presented to Reeve Lipworth Goldhaber, MSW, Boston University; and Louise
M. Murray, EdD, University of North Carolina Charlotte This award formally recognizes the contributions of part-time and/or adjunct faculty for their contributions to gerontological education at an AGHE member institution.
