"The ACC has been publishing with Elsevier for more than two decades as part of a mutually beneficial relationship neither side has ever taken for granted," said Glen P. Campbell, Senior Vice President and head of Elsevier's US Health Sciences Journals. "Our knowledge of the information needs of both the clinical and academic communities and the excellent reach of ScienceDirect in providing access to the worldwide research community place us in a unique position to help advance and promote the interests of our society partners."

The ACC is the world's largest cardiology society with 37,000 members. The College is a leader in the formulation of health policy, standards and guidelines, and is a staunch supporter of cardiovascular research. The ACC also bestows the credential Fellow of the American College of Cardiology upon physicians who meet its stringent qualifications, provides professional education and operates national registries for the measurement and improvement of quality care.
