Date:12/17/2013

Newark, NJ (PRWEB) December 17, 2013

Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey (BCBSNJ) today announced a new vision plan for employers to provide employees and their families with affordable coverage for their vision care. The Horizon Vision Program will offer a number of product options for employers with more than 50 employees with coverage starting on January 1, 2014.

“Providing affordable coverage for eye care is a benefit many employers want to offer their employees, and our new suite of vision products provide employers with a full range of options for their employees,” said Al Bowles, Vice President of Commercial and Major Accounts.

The new Horizon Vision Program will offer eight different plan designs administered with Davis Vision, a leading provider of integrated vision care solutions. All Horizon Vision plans provide coverage for eye exams, eyewear, and contact lenses. All plans include free annual eye exams, low annual in-network co-pays for frames and contact lenses and significant savings on lens coatings, tinting and progressive lenses.

“We are excited to develop a long-term partnership with Horizon and adding value across all segments of their business as their vision care benefit provider. We believe in making it easy to do business with us while passing along the savings to our clients and members. Our 50 year integrated delivery model makes us unique in the industry and it enables Horizon and Davis to offer the best value, exceptional quality and the right choices,” said Celina Burns, President of Davis Vision.

For additional information about this and other medical, dental, casualty and prescription drug plans, employers should contact their Horizon BCBSNJ sales rep or their broker or visit HorizonBlue.com.
