Hallmark Cards has today unveiled a dazzling £3,000 diamond Mother's Day card, exclusively designed by Strictly Come Dancing host, Tess Daly, to support its annual 'Cards for a Cure™' campaign which will see the company donate £1/4 million to two breast cancer charities.
The unique card features a pair of sparkling pink shoes with a stunning three quarter carat diamond, kindly donated by online diamond specialist, Seventy Seven Diamonds - 77 diamonds.com A nationwide search has been launched to find the UK's Most Inspirational Mum, who will receive the one-of-a-kind Mother's Day card.
Two smaller replica cards have also been produced, each featuring one half carat diamond. These cards will be featured as prizes in high profile national publications to further promote the Inspirational Mum competition.
This is the third year of Hallmark Card's highly successful initiative, which will have donated £3/4 million pounds towards funding vital research into finding treatments and a cure for breast cancer, a disease that affects one in nine women during their lifetime.
The £1/4 million raised from its 2009 Mother's Day campaign will be split between Breast Cancer Campaign (£225,000) and Action Breast Cancer, a programme of the Irish Cancer Society (£25,000). The contribution is made irrespective of how many cards are bought.

The card forms part of a major marketing drive to support Hallmark's 'Card for a Cure™' initiative. It will be supported by a three-week national TV advertising campaign which will run from 01 March 2009.
