Terramera Team Celebrates as CEO Awarded Business in Vancouver’s Top 40 Under 40
Date:4/17/2013

Vancouver, BC (PRWEB) April 17, 2013

Terramera, a pioneer in developing effective and safe biopesticide products for pest management, today announced the recognition of Karn Manhas, chief executive officer, as one of the "Top Forty under 40" outstanding professionals by the Business in Vancouver Journal.

The "Top Forty Under 40" award honours the area's most remarkable young business and community leaders in the Greater Vancouver Area. As CEO, Manhas is an engaging leader at Terramera. He embraced leadership early in his career, and is an inspiration to his colleagues. He was the youngest member ever elected to the BC Legislature and served on the Legislative Assembly's Special Committee of Selection, the Government Caucus Committee on Education and the Multicultural Committee.

While attending law school at The University of British Columbia, Manhas began research for safe, non-toxic materials that could be used to produce effective, safe and natural bed bug control products. In 2011, his hard work came to fruition, with the formation of Terramera Biosciences, and in 2012 Terramera released its first range of EPA-approved plant-based and effective pest control solutions.

Manhas further demonstrates his leadership through his involvement with the National Board of Polytechnics and the creation of the British Columbia ‘Positive Youth Development Society Facilitated’ and the development of ‘Youth Matters!, a partnership of 25 organizations that work to connect with local youth.

Manhas was honored for his award at Business in Vancouver’s gala event at The Fairmont Waterfront Hotel in Vancouver, BC on January 28th 2013. This event recognized the 2012 winners and was be attended by the
