Temple University Hospital Ranked Among Best in America for Respiratory Disorders by U.S. News & World Report

PHILADELPHIA, July 11 /PRNewswire/-- Temple University Hospital has been ranked again as one of the nation's top hospitals for respiratory disorders by U.S. News & World Report in its 2008 "America's Best Hospitals" guide.

Temple University Hospital - home to the acclaimed Temple Lung Center - was selected from among 170 medical centers across the country that were evaluated in a range of healthcare specialties.

The Temple Lung Center uses a comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach to treat all forms of respiratory disorders - from mild to the most severe forms of breathing conditions. Temple is noted for its specialized programs for advanced COPD, pulmonary fibrosis, pulmonary hypertension, respiratory failure and lung transplantation. Temple is currently one of the top lung transplant centers in the United States.
