MINNEAPOLIS, July 10 /PRNewswire/ -- 5k Your Way, a fundraiser
benefitting Courage Center, is set for Saturday, August 2, 2008 at Courage
Center in Golden Valley. In addition to a 5K run along beautiful Theodore
Wirth Parkway, the event includes family-friendly activities; free lunch
provided by Potbelly Sandwich Works; tours and information about Courage
Center programs and services; and demonstrations by Courage Center Sports
and Recreation staff and athletes.
7-8:30 a.m. Registration (register online before August 1 for $25
pledge; $30 day of event)
8:30 Competitive wheelers start
8:45 Runners start
8:50 Walkers and non-competitive wheelers start
10:15-10:45 Awards program
Noon Event ends
The route starts at Courage Center (3915 Golden Valley Road, Golden Valley) and takes participants along scenic Theodore Wirth Parkway, returning to Courage Center for fun and festivities. Free parking is available at the Honeywell Plant at 1985 Douglas Drive in Golden Valley with regular shuttles to and from Courage Center.
