Tampa Bay Doctor Agrees to Pay United States $1.7 Million to Resolve Medicare Fraud Allegations

ent (CIA) with the United States Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Inspector General, requiring him to engage in significant compliance efforts over the next five years. Among other provisions, the CIA requires Dr. DeCandido to engage independent review organizations to review the accuracy of the claims that he submits to the Medicare program.

Assistant Attorney West acknowledged the contributions made by both the Commercial Litigation Branch of the Civil Division and the Office of Counsel to the Inspector General for the Department of Health and Human Services in investigating and resolving this matter.
