Tickets still available for Grand Wine Tasting on Friday
An unforgettable evening of good food, exquisite wine and fun!
TALLAHASSEE, Fla., Nov. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- The 12th Annual Tallahassee Wine and Food Festival culminates tomorrow evening with a Grand Wine Tasting featuring more than 200 wines from around the world, including unique varietals from Argentina and South Africa.
The evening kicks off at 6 p.m. with three fun-filled sessions about wine:
* Basics of Wine Tasting instructed by Clint Brewer
* Advanced Wine Tasting instructed by Lee Satterfield
* Cooking With Wine instructed by Chef Aaron Cox
Enjoy champagne and chocolate before the Grand Wine Tasting commences at 7 p.m. While you savor the many premium varietals, you'll have an opportunity to bid on over 150 items during the "Sip and Shop" silent auction -- from vintage wines to 7-day get-away trips. The evening will also recognize business and individuals that are the Best of Tallahassee, as published by Tallahassee Magazine.
Proceeds from this worthwhile event support the March of Dimes (http://www.marchofdimes.com), whose mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality. Every week in Florida, 563 babies are born pre-term; 161 babies are born to mothers who received late or no prenatal care; and 358 babies are born at below normal birth weights. The Tallahassee Wine & Food Festival will generate over $250,000 for March of Dimes programs, including parent education, research and health care. These funds will ensure Florida's future -- our children -- are born healthy.
Purchase advance tickets to Friday's Grand Wine Tasting ($50/person) at Blossoms Flowers, 1200 N. Monroe St., and Chez Pierre restaurant, 1215 Thomasville Rd. Tickets are available at the door for $75/person.
