TOMS Shoes Embarks on a Holiday Mission: Give 30,000 Pairs in 30 Days!
Date:12/1/2008

SANTA MONICA, Calif., Dec. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- TOMS Shoes, the philanthropic footwear company, has launched a holiday campaign online at TOMSshoes.com, encouraging people to Spend Less and Give More this holiday season. For 30 days, from November 20th through December 20th, TOMS is asking holiday shoppers to help give 30,000 pairs of shoes to children in Ethiopia suffering from a debilitating disease that is 100% preventable by wearing shoes. By purchasing a pair of shoes for men, women or children, shoppers can become a part of the TOMS Holiday mission and participate in the true spirit of holiday giving. For every pair purchased, TOMS will give a pair of shoes to a child in need: One for One. For shoppers searching for meaningful gifts, TOMS is truly the gift that gives twice!

To relay this message, TOMS has created a video that is posted at TOMSshoes.com to illustrate the need for shoes in Ethiopia and the TOMS Holiday mission. The video has received over 10,000 views in just 4 days! To display the progress of the campaign, TOMS has added a "shoe meter" to its website that displays the total number of shoes given with the end goal of 30,000 pairs. Through this meter, TOMS supporters can track the success of the campaign and witness their personal contributions to children in need.

"This holiday season, TOMS wants to give 30,000 pairs of shoes to those children in Ethiopia, and we need your help -- visit our site, forward the link, make flyers, blog, or give TOMS to your friends and family so we can achieve this goal and make life easier for one child at a time" states Founder and Chief Shoe Giver, Blake Mycoskie.

TOMS Shoes start at $34 for kids, and $42 for men and women. For more information or to participate in the campaign, please visit http://www.TOMSshoes.com today.
