TMG Health Client Forum Explores Strategies for Success in the Post-Reform Market

Under the conference theme, “Partners in Excellence: Navigating the Post-Reform Landscape Together,” the forum convened management executives and operations leaders from TMG Health’s Client base of Health Plans and Pharmacy Benefit Managers to discuss current trends in the government health programs market and forward-thinking strategies to support Client business objectives.

“The Affordable Care Act has resulted in both challenges and opportunities for Payers in the government market,” said Bill Haggett, Senior Vice President for Corporate Development and Strategy at TMG Health. “Our Client Forum provided an opportunity for our leadership team and subject matter experts to interact with our Client Partners and demonstrate how TMG Health is adapting its solutions to help them execute successful strategies and thrive in this era of change.”

Focusing on the downward pressure on costs, the increased focus on data collection and analytics, and the emphasis on improving health outcomes, the forum featured several keynote speakers who offered their expertise and insight on current market opportunities for payers. Speakers included Gary Jacobs, Managing Director at Price Waterhouse Coopers who spoke on “The New Healthcare Economy: Empowering the Medicare & Dual Eligible Consumer;” Nigel Ohrenstein, Senior Vice President & Head of Market at Lumeris who presented, “The Collaborative Approach to Risk Adjustment and Care Coordination for Effective Management of Complex Populations;” Daniel Schofield, Director of Innovations at Health Market Science, who led a discussion on Data Analytics; and Akshay Jindal, Principal in the Global Health Practice at Strategy& who spoke about “Medicare Fit For Growth – Managing Cost, Compliance, Risk and Quality.”

TMG Health’s Senior Leadership Team led several interactive sessions in which they outlined the steps the company is taking to evolve its service offerings in support of its Clients future strategy and business.
