TEAL Ottawa Launches Skin Imperfection Treatments by Thermo LO
Date:4/24/2013

urrent to dehydrate the top layer of the particular skin condition in order to allow new, healthy skin to grow. Unlike laser or intense pulsed light therapy, which can penetrate both the epidermis and the dermis (the outer and inner layers), sometimes leading to temporary or even permanent skin damage, Thermo LO works on the epidermis only. It can be applied precisely to the area to be treated, or, in other words, “treats the weeds and leaves the grass alone.”

“We are happy to add these important services to our range of treatments as part of the continuum of wellness care that we offer,” says TEAL’s Clinical Director, Seema Kudesia. “Using Thermo LO, we can provide our clients with a non-invasive and precise way to correct areas of their skin that make them feel self-conscious.”

The treatment itself can be done in minutes, is affordable and provides fast results.

Now – what we are all wondering – does it hurt? According to Seema, her clients have told her the level of discomfort is tolerable, especially as the treatment is done within a few minutes. Some have said the sensation is “like a tight pinch to the skin”, she notes. Also, no anesthesia is required.
