TCS Healthcare Technologies to Offer Remote Hosting Options for Acuity Advanced Care(TM)
Date:7/9/2009

AUBURN, Calif. and EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn., July 9 /PRNewswire/ -- TCS Healthcare Technologies (TCS), an industry leader in the development of medical management software applications, announced today that TCS is expanding its software hosting options through a partnership with Wizmo, Inc., a Software as a Service (SaaS) provider.

Rob Pock, TCS Founder and CEO, notes, "For the past year, Wizmo has been hosting Acuity AnyWare, a care management software application developed by TCS and offered by the Case Management Society of America (CMSA) -- which is geared to independent case managers and small organizations. We are now pleased to offer TCS' enterprise solution, Acuity Advanced Care(TM), which is used by larger health care organizations through an on-demand hosted portal as well."

According to Brad Balogh, Wizmo President and CEO, "For almost a decade, Wizmo has focused primarily on SaaS hosting solutions. The SaaS approach provides important economies of scale when organizations can share hardware and/or software, which enables us to keep the cost low for TCS and its clients. Among other advantages, a hosted environment can increase efficiencies and easily allows for secure remote workstations, but still fully protects data between clients and meets all HIPAA requirements."

"The expanded relationship between us empowers Wizmo to deliver most of TCS' software solutions in a SaaS or application service provider (ASP) environment. Clients traditionally only had the option of installing TCS applications locally on their servers," states Pock. "Today, our clients now can pick a number of different hosting options including locally-installed, SaaS, and ASP options. The on-demand hosting options will allow TCS customers to configure their care management software solution in a customized manner depending on each company's business objectives and information technology capabilities."
