Sysmex America Awarded Hematology Contract by Amerinet

Member-hospitals and integrated delivery healthcare networks to benefit

MUNDELEIN, Ill., Nov. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Sysmex America, Inc. today announced that the company has been awarded a three-year, dual source hematology contract by Amerinet, a health care group purchasing organization, effective October 1. Amerinet constituent-members have immediate purchasing/leasing access to Sysmex hematology analyzers, reagents, consumables and services, said John Kershaw, President, Sysmex America, Inc. Training and technical support for the organization's members will be provided through Sysmex's U.S. headquarters in Mundelein, Illinois. This hematology contract, which was awarded based on technical merit and pricing, follows the August announcement of the company's urinalysis contract agreement with Amerinet. Amerinet serves more than 22,000 acute and non-acute health care providers nationwide.

Sysmex America's comprehensive portfolio of hematology products ranges from the pocH-100i(TM) and the KX-21N(TM) for small laboratories to the fully automated XE-Alpha N(TM) and HST-N(TM) Integrated Hematology Systems with automated slide preparation capabilities. Also included are the Sysmex(R) XE-Series Automated Hematology Analyzers, the Sysmex XT-Series Automated Hematology Analyzers and the Sysmex XS-Series Automated Hematology Analyzers, all of which use the same fluorescent flow technology platform, user interface, and reagents and controls, leading to improved laboratory standardization.
