Synova Healthcare to Participate in 'Women's Health Care in the New Millennium Conference,' as Retail Distribution for the Fem-V(R) Test Kit Expands
Date:10/10/2007

MEDIA, Pa., Oct. 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Synova Healthcare Group, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: SNVH) announced today that it will participate in the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women's Health (NPWH) 10th Annual Conference, "Women's Health Care in the New Millennium." The NPWH is the leading association for nurse practitioners providing care to women. The conference will take place October 10 - 13, in Philadelphia, PA. The conference is expected to draw nurse practitioners, nurse midwives and physician assistants from throughout the United States. Synova will be sharing important information about the Today(R) Sponge, a hormone free over the counter female contraceptive and Fem-V(R), a test kit for the symptoms of vaginal infections. Synova is excited to have this opportunity to interact with this diverse group of female healthcare providers who play such an important role in improving women's healthcare.

This meeting provides Synova the opportunity to highlight its Fem-V(R) test kit to this important target audience. Millions of women buy over-the- counter (OTC) vaginal infection treatments, often without knowing the cause of their vaginal infections. Although some infections can be treated with OTC products successfully, it is estimated that sixty-six percent of the time women misdiagnose their symptoms and incorrectly treat with an OTC product, when they actually needed a prescription product from their health care provider. "Nurse practitioners have shared the challenges they face when trying to treat these women," said Maggie Borger, Synova's Product Director. "Our goal is to work with healthcare professionals and consumers to educate women to 'test before they treat with Fem-V(R).' The Fem-V(R) test kit is the only non-invasive, at home test to assess the symptoms of vaginal infections. It is highly accurate with results that match a physician's diagnosis 91% of the time. The Fem-V(R) test kit helps women tell the difference between a yeast infection and something more serious.

The Fem-V(R) test kit is available in select retailers throughout the country. Stephen King, Chairman and CEO of Synova Healthcare Group, Inc. said, "We are extremely pleased to announce that we are expanding our distribution of the Fem-V(R) test kit through Pathmark. Pathmark represents another important point of retail distribution for the Fem-V(R) test kit and increases access to this product for our customers. We believe the Fem-V(R) test kit can play an important role for the millions of women who suffer from vaginal infections annually." According to Pathmark's web site, Pathmark operates 142 supermarkets in New York and New Jersey and in the Philadelphia area. In addition to Pathmark, the Fem-V(R) test kit is available at RITE AID, Duane Reade, Longs Drug, Bi-Lo, Bartell Drugs, Kerr Drug, Kinney Drugs, The Medicine Shoppe, and on-line at amazon.com and drugstore.com. About the Today(R) Sponge:

The Today(R) Sponge is an effective, hormone-free contraceptive that offers 24-hour protection against pregnancy without the potential side effects and long-term commitment associated with hormonal methods. The Today(R) Sponge prevents pregnancy by combining three separate modes of contraceptive action: a barrier method blocking the entry of sperm into the cervix, continual release of spermicide and absorption of sperm by the soft foam sponge. In clinical trials, the Today(R) Sponge has proven to be 89% to 91% effective in preventing pregnancy over a one-year period in 1,800 sponge users.(1) The Today(R) Sponge has particular appeal for those women going through specific lifestyle changes, such as women in-between pregnancies, those who may be breast feeding or newly single, or for those who simply want to avoid the side effects of birth control pills and other hormonal methods. The Today(R) Sponge is available in Canada and the United States at major retailers including: A&P, amazon.com, CVS, drugstore.com, HEB, Longs Drug, Publix, RITE AID, Target, Walgreens and Wal-Mart.
