Swope Health Services Hires New CMO

After conducting a nationwide executive search led by healthcare leadership solutions firm B. E. Smith, Swope Health Services in Kansas City, Mo., has hired Dr. Naranath Chintala as chief medical officer. A seasoned physician executive, Dr. Chintala will assume his new duties at Swope Health Services on September 23.

Prior to joining Swope Health Services, Dr. Chintala held the role of chief medical officer and medical director for North Texas Area Community Health Center, a nonprofit organization in Fort Worth, Texas. Dr. Chintala provided physician leadership for three clinic sites and more than 65 employees including 10 providers.

Dr. Chintala, 33, earned a master’s degree in health services administration from University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Ark., and a master’s degree in public health from New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, N.M. Dr. Chintala completed his family medicine residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He is board certified by the American Family Medicine Board and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
