Sweepstakes Offers Viewers Chance to Win 'Your Turn to Get Exiled' Experience

Win Tickets to MTV Movie Awards, Opportunity to Participate in Trip to Africa with UN Foundation's Nothing but Nets

Washington, D.C. (PRWEB) November 3, 2008 -- The United Nations Foundation is partnering with MTV to give fans of the MTV hit show, Exiled, a chance to win a trip to the MTV 2009 Movie Awards or a trip to Africa with the UN Foundation's Nothing But Nets campaign.

"By exposing its cast mates to different cultures, Exiled helped introduce a new audience to global affairs and the importance of cultural exchange," said Ian V. Rowe, Vice President, Strategic Partnerships & Public Affairs, MTV. "This contest will allow the show's fans to walk in the cast mates' footsteps and see firsthand how they can positively impact the world."

"The Get Exiled sweepstakes and our partnership with MTV is an opportunity for young people in America to connect with young people around the world - their issues, their dreams and their challenges - in a very real way," said Elizabeth Gore McKee, Executive Director of Partnership Alliances, UN Foundation and Executive Director of Nothing But Nets.

Viewers who enter the sweepstakes are eligible to win two tickets to the MTV 2009 Movie Awards, or a chance to join the UN Foundation's Nothing But Nets campaign - a global, grassroots effort to prevent malaria - on a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Africa. The deadline to enter the contest is December 31, 2008. Winners will be notified in late January 2008.
