Date:7/21/2009

SAN DIEGO, July 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Susan G. Komen for the Cure((R)), the world's largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists committed to ending breast cancer forever, announced today that its San Diego Affiliate will receive proceeds from the album release concert of Billboard-charting artist, Miz Mandy. The concert, set for Aug. 6 at Anthology Supper Club, will feature Miz Mandy along with more than 20 band and cast members performing songs from her sophomore album, 'Today's the Day.'

Miz Mandy co-wrote the majority of the tracks on 'Today's the Day' with producer, Patricio Pickslay. The album includes the recent Top 50 Billboard Dance charting track 'Sweet Fury of Love (Friscia & Lamboy Back 2 Soul Radio Mix)', the 'Best of' San Diego Magazine competition finalist 'Just Another Night,' and features her new music video track 'Let Love Be Free.' More information on Miz Mandy and her new album are available at www.MizMandy.com or www.Myspace.com/MizMandy.

"I have a close connection to breast cancer, as my grandmother lost her battle with the disease at age 65," said Mandy. "I hope that through my music, I can help increase awareness of this disease and communicate the message that early detection and proper care could save lives."

The 'Today's the Day' album release party takes place on Thursday, Aug. 6 at Anthology Music and Supper Club, which is located at 1337 India Street, San Diego, CA 92101. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and the concert begins at 7:30. Tickets, which each include a Miz Mandy CD, are $15 for general admission, $25 for table seating and $38 for premium seating.
