Susan Byrne joins GHG Grey Healthcare Group as EVP, Strategy and Business Development, Europe, a Newly-Created Position

Adding Strategic Depth to the European Advertising and Medical Education

NEW YORK, April 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Susan Byrne, a healthcare marketing executive with more than 15 years strategic and business-building experience, has joined GHG Grey Healthcare Group in the newly created position, EVP, Strategy and Business Development, Europe. GHG Grey Healthcare Group (GHG) is a WPP company and one of the world's leading healthcare communications companies. Ms. Byrne is a pharmaceutical and agency-side sales and marketing pro renowned for fostering teamwork across companies, and creating successful advertising and medical education businesses and client partnerships.

As EVP, Strategy and Business Development, Europe, Ms. Byrne will work with the GHG European advertising, medical education, and managed care/access companies to develop a long-term growth strategy, expand the network, and create cross-country integrated multichannel solutions for clients. Based in London, she will also coordinate GHG's efforts in Europe, liaising with US offices on global new business opportunities across disciplines, including advertising, medical education, digital, and managed care/access.

Ms. Byrne knows WPP well. Prior to joining GHG, Susan spent more than 6 years as President, Medical Education Europe at Ogilvy Healthworld, a WPP communications company. As President, she had P&L, operational and management responsibilities and a network role growing medical education in Europe. Her clients included BMS, GlaxoSmithKline, Johnson & Johnson, Boehringer Ingelheim, Allergan, Nestle, Pfizer, and Galderma.

For the past year, Ms. Byrne also held a WPP Client Partner role on Team BMS. As Client Partner, she worked with WPP agencies and BMS Europe on innovation and marketing and business development. Ms. Byrne has built many strong relationships within BMS and will continue as a Client Partner in her new position with GHG.
