Surviving Mesothelioma Shines a Spotlight on World’s Longest-Living Mesothelioma Survivor in Advance of Mesothelioma Awareness Day
Date:9/25/2015

The world’s longest-living documented mesothelioma survivor will celebrate his 71st birthday a little less than a month after this year’s Mesothelioma Awareness Day. Surviving Mesothelioma has the full story and an opportunity to claim his best-selling book on the website.

Paul Kraus has been defying the survival odds since his birth in a Nazi labor camp in October of 1944. Diagnosed with mesothelioma in 1997, Kraus has now lived for 18 years with a disease doctors said would likely kill him within months.

“Paul’s story is such an inspiration that we really wanted to highlight it as people get ready for this year’s Mesothelioma Awareness Day,” says Alex Strauss, Managing Editor of Surviving Mesothelioma. “Mesothelioma Awareness Day is about advocacy, awareness, and research, but it is also about hope.”

In a television interview four years after his diagnosis, Kraus advised other mesothelioma sufferers to “Accept the diagnosis, not the prognosis.”

He details his healing journey with mesothelioma, including radical lifestyle changes and complementary therapies, in what has become the best-selling mesothelioma book in the world. Click here to read more about Kraus’ amazing story and find out how to get a copy of “Surviving Mesothelioma and Other Cancers: A Patient’s Journey”.
