Sunshine Bloggers took to the keyboard to discuss how to choose a life insurance policy after the August 23rd publication of a Daily Finance article, “How to Pick the Right Life Insurance Policy”. The article, a question and answer segment, discusses a 24-year-old male’s difficulty in choosing a life insurance policy and what policy would best suit him. The author encourages the man to consider a number of questions, citing the possibility of various policies, from term life insurance to group insurance, based upon the man’s individual needs.
Dave Ramsey, the author of the question and answer article above, responded to a young man’s query regarding the best type of life insurance for his and his family’s needs. The man, at 24, had a young child and wife, and was concerned about which term of term life insurance best suited his needs. Ramsey was quick to assure the man that there was no one-size-fits-all of insurance policies, instead encouraging the man to take a close look at his needs and plans for the future before deciding. Ramsey advised the young man to consider term life insurance, such as that provided by Maine term life insurance, above all other forms, though he does encourage him to ask several questions before making a decision, including where a home will be in the payoff process, whether children will be living at home or going to school, and whether a spouse will be able to provide adequate income. He closes with this simple question: “How much longer are you going to need insurance?”
Selecting the right insurance policy can be quite a challenge, particularly for those who have not conducted adequate research on the subject. To better prepare for meeting with an insurance agent, begin reading up on different types of insurance, what they have to offer, and what the standard rates are. Armed with this knowledge, meet with an insurance agent or advisor. Let all needs be known immediately, and begin working as a team with an agent or advisor to find both the type of insurance and the amount of insurance that best suit needs. While meeting with an advisor or agent, be sure to keep a level head and do not be overwhelmed by scare tactics or empty promises of better prices.

Following a recent article discussing ways to find the proper source of insurance, Sunshine Bloggers urged readers to go into the search for insurance armed with knowledge and at least a general idea of what is needed for the insured and his or her family. Choosing term life insurance, such as the coverage offered by Maine term life insurance, is most often the most affordable route, as most term life policies boast relatively inexpensive premiums, while whole life may have a higher premium, though the policy does have some cash value. The most important part of searching for insurance and an insurance company is to meet with the people that will be working on the account, as well as go into all meetings armed with a general idea of what is wanted.
