Breakfast Session

This speaker forum will be highlighted with a breakfast meeting of executives and industry thought leaders on Tuesday, March 2 at 7:00 am at the Omni Hotel/CNN Center in Atlanta during the HIMSS 2010 event. Headlining this event is Robert M. Kolodner, MD, President, Collaborative Transformations, LLC in Columbia, MD, and the former National Coordinator for Health Information Technology. His address will be on “Healthcare Transformation: Opportunities and Challenges for Laboratory Leadership.” This will be his only speaking engagement at the event.

Additional breakfast speakers include Jay B. Jones, PhD DABCC, Director of Chemistry & Regional Labs at Geisinger Health System in Danville, PA, and Ron Workman, MD, Vice President, Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Sutter Health in Sacramento, CA. Dr. Jones will speak on the topic “Lab Enterprise Analytics: Essential for Regional Healthcare Clinical Effectiveness in the EHR Era,” while Dr. Workman will address “Elephant in the Room: The Value of Your Laboratory Service Line.”
