Summit Medical Group Welcomes Stephanie J. Cummings, M.D.

Stephanie J. Cummings, M.D., obstetrician and gynecologist, has joined Summit Medical Group. Dr. Cummings will practice in the Group’s 1 Diamond Hill Road, Berkeley Heights campus and at 34 Mountain Boulevard, Warren, N.J. She is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology.

Before joining Summit Medical Group, Dr. Cummings was a resident in obstetrics and gynecology at Atlantic Health System. During her residency, Dr. Cummings was President and Secretary of the Atlantic Health System Resident Council. She also was Resident Representative to the Atlantic Health System Graduate Medical Education Committee, which oversees all residency training programs throughout the hospital system. She has been a member of the Morristown Medical Center Obstetrics and Gynecology Quality and Safety Committee and Atlantic Health Quality Improvement Collaborative. Dr. Cummings is a Junior Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine.

Dr. Cummings earned her bachelor of science in biological sciences at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, N.J., and earned her doctor of medicine magna cum laude at Saint George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. After graduating, she completed her residency at Morristown Medical Center, Morristown, N.J., and Overlook Medical Center, Summit, N.J.

During medical school, Dr. Cummings was involved with the International Mission on Medicine in South Africa and she also volunteered at the Queen Elizabeth Home for Children in Grenada, West Indies.
