Summit Medical Group Physician Named 'Top Doctor for Women's Health'

Jerrold S. Lozner, M.D., M.H.A., F.A.C.S. , named a"Top DOctor for Women's HEalth" by Castle Connolly Medical Ltd.

(Vocus) January 29, 2010 -- Berkeley Heights – Jerrold S. Lozner, M.D., M.H.A., F.A.C.S. joins his SMG colleagues named to “Top Doctor” lists. He has been named as a “Top Doctor for Women’s Health” by Castle Connolly Medical, Ltd, in a recent issue of Inside Jersey magazine. These top physicians have been recommended by their peers as leaders within their medical specialties in the treatment of women. Dr. Lozner was named to the list of 190 physicians.

Dr. Lozner received his B.A. from Columbia University, New York, N.Y. and his M.H.A from the University of Colorado, Boulder, Colo. He earned his M.D. from the University of Louisville School of Medicine, Louisville, Ky. Dr. Lozner completed his residency in general surgery and a fellowship in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery, at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, Cincinnati, Ohio. He is board certified in general surgery and thoracic surgery.

In addition to his position at Summit Medical Group, Dr. Lozner is Associate Clinical Professor of Surgery at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City. To his credit, Dr. Lozner is Chairman of the Summit Medical Group Clinical Practice Committee and a member of the Summit Medical Group Board of Directors, Atlantic Health Physician Quality Committee, Overlook Hospital Advisory Board, and Overlook Hospital Quality Improvement Committee. He has been Past President of the Atlantic Health Medical Staff Leadership Committee and Past President of the Overlook Hospital Medical Staff. He also was Chairman of the Overlook Hospital Department of Surgery and a member of the Atlantic Health Board of Trustees.
