Fort Collins, Colorado (Vocus) -- Rodelle, a specialty food company, located in Fort Collins, Colorado, announces the launch of their Dutch baking cocoa in Western Canada. The company, who produces one of the U.S.'s top selling Pure and Gourmet vanilla's, recently added cocoa to their growing list of baking essentials.

“Western Canada is the perfect market to launch cocoa in the summertime. The community truly embraces the culinary art of baking all year round, “ stated Joe Basta, VP of Sales and Marketing for Rodelle. The company added cocoa to their repertoire, as it was the perfect compliment to expand the baking products line, which includes vanilla beans, vanilla sugar and cinnamon sugar.
Rodelle's cocoa originates from the Ivory Coast and is richer than average cocoas on the market. “Our cocoa is European Dutch processed and very high in cocoa fat content which takes a serious baker's experience to the next level of decadence,” said Basta. Rodelle is very interested in Facebook or Twitter feedback from the Western Canada’s Costco customers. Their Twitter handle is @RodelleV and can be found on Facebook under Rodelle Vanilla.
Rodelle, along with Western Canada's distributor of the baking cocoa, Costco, decided on a June release to get Canadians excited about using cocoa in summer dishes (Cocoa Chanel Hazelnut Mousse). In addition, Rodelle is promoting a return to quality time with family and friends through entertaining at home, baking and cooking together. “During the last few years of economic crisis, we have seen an increase in sales with our baking category. Families are spending more time at home together, cooking and entertaining. We want to support our customers return to the kitchen with excellent ingredients to work with,” stated Mr. Basta.
Rodelle, a brand of Custom Blending Inc. is committed to creating a positive impact on the global community. “Social responsibility is a cornerstone of our business practices,” said Basta. “We buy our beans and cocoa from Uganda and Madagascar the Ivory Coast. Giving back (http://bit.ly/cwbh1g) to the communities is very important to ensure that our footprint is positive and beneficial to the growers”.
Rodelle was established in 1936 in Denver, Colorado and relocated to Fort Collins in 1984. Rodelle Vanilla is America's fastest growing brand of baking essentials. Found in grocery stores throughout North America, Rodelle offers the highest quality baking products favored by chefs at home and in professional kitchens. Rodelle has been endorsed by Cooks Illustrated (http://bit.ly/9U214n).
