Stryker Hip Replacement Recall Website Launched By Hissey Kientz, LLP Law Firm
Date:4/8/2013

Austin, TX (PRWEB) April 08, 2013

The law firm of Hissey Kientz, LLP is announcing the launch of its new website, Stryker Hip Recall Help (http://www.strykerhiprecallhelp.com/). The site will serve as a source for news and legal information for patients and their families who have allegedly experienced complications after being implanted with a Stryker Rejuvenate or Stryker ABG II modular hip replacement system.

Stryker Corporation issued a voluntary recall of the Stryker Rejuvenate and Stryker ABG II hip replacement systems in July 2012 after the hip implants were allegedly linked to serious complications including fretting, corrosion, metallosis, hip dislocation and fractures.

The Stryker Rejuvenate and Stryker ABG II hip replacements include metal neck and stem components that can allegedly grind together over time, causing metal debris to flake off of the implant. According to the British Medical Journal, metal debris can release toxic levels chromium and cobalt ions into the bloodstream, leading to metal poisoning.

Both the Stryker Rejuvenate and Stryker ABG hip replacement systems were submitted through the Food and Drug Administration’s 510(k) program, which allows manufacturers to bypass clinical trials if their device is substantially similar to a device already approved by the FDA.

Patients who have experienced metal poisoning, fractures, or implant dislocation from a Stryker Rejuvenate or Stryker ABG II hip replacement system may wish to speak with a lawyer to find out if they are eligible to file a lawsuit. For more information about whether you may have a case, contact the attorneys at Hissey Kientz, LLP by calling toll-free at 1-866-275-4454, or by email at info(at)hkllp(dot)com
