Stryker Hip Lawsuit News: Bernstein Liebhard LLP Notes Scheduling of December Case Management Conference in New Jersey Stryker Hip Recall Litigation
Date:12/2/2013

New York, New York (PRWEB) December 02, 2013

Hundreds of Stryker hip lawsuit (http://www.strykerhiprecallclaims.com/) claims alleging injury due to Rejuvenate and ABG II Modular-Neck Hip Stems continue to move forward in a multicounty litigation underway in New Jersey’s Bergen County Superior Court. According to court documents, the proceeding’s next Case Management Conference has been scheduled for December 16, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Court records indicate that over 550 product liability claims have been filed in New Jersey following the July 2012 announcement of the Stryker hip recall for Rejuvenate and ABG II hip stems. (In Re Stryker Rejuvenate Hip Stem and the ABG II Modular Hip Stem Litigation, No. 296)

“We are representing numerous Stryker hip recall clients in this proceeding, and are pleased that it continues to progress,” says Bernstein Liebhard LLP, a nationwide law firm representing the victims of defective drugs and medical devices. The Firm continues to offer free Stryker hip lawsuit evaluations to individuals who allegedly suffered serious and debilitating complications due to the Rejuvenate and ABG II hip stems.

Stryker Hip Lawsuits
The worldwide Stryker hip recall for Rejuvenate and ABG II hip stems was announced on July 6, 2012, after it became apparent that the metal components had been subject to a high rate of fretting and corrosion at the modular-neck junction. This occurrence may result in a number of serious complications that could necessitate revision of the hip, including adverse local tissue reactions, pain, and swelling. To ensure that Rejuvenate and ABG II hip stems are performing as intended, Stryker has advised all individuals implanted with the recalled components to undergo medical screening, even if they are not experiencing any symptoms that might indicate a problem.*
