Stop & Shop Removes Children's Cough and Cold Medicine from Store Shelves

Concern for children under the age of two years prompts action

QUINCY, Mass., Oct. 11 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Stop & Shop Supermarket Company LLC announced it has removed from its shelves several select over-the-counter cold and cough drugs aimed at children under the age of 2 years. The voluntary withdrawal follows an announcement by several major pharmaceutical firms that they will stop selling specific cough and cold medicines citing the potential misuse of these products leading to accidental overdose, especially in children under the age of two.

As a precautionary measure, Stop & Shop immediately removed the following products.
